Grandma's Tribute

Virginia Ruth Signs (1925-2005)

Virginia departed this life and entered heaven on Monday, August 8, 2005, after a long illness. Virginia was born in East Toledo on August 22, 1925. She lived on Navarre Ave. until her marriage to Jack Signs in 1947. Virginia attended Coy Grade School and Clay High School. She was employed at Peerless Molded Plastics, Toledo State Hospital, Maumee Valley Hospital and the Medical College Hospital, where she was an L.P.N.


She was a former member of Western Ave. Methodist Church and currently an active member of First Alliance Church. She was a very loving wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her son, Howard preceded her in death, along with her brother, Loren and mother and dad, Norma and Ernest Ishler.


Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Jack of 57 years and daughters, Jacquelyn (Jeffrey) Worthen of Toledo, Crystal (Gary) Tipton of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Eric Tipton of Toledo, Sara (Andrew) Nist of Perrysburg, Laurie (David) Cross of Sand Creek, Michigan, Lisa Worthen of Toledo and Ryan Worthen of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by the following great-grandchildren, Quinn, Tucker and Gage Cross, Hannah, Micah and Eva Hope Nist, and also by loving nieces and nephews.
